Wirabadra temple and Pilar Depending on Lepakshi

Shrine or temple Veerabhadra 16th century this beautiful, also known as the Temple Lepakshi, located in the small village of historic, Lepakshi in the district of Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, India, about 15 km east of Hindupur and approximately 120 km north of Bangalore.

As quoted from versesofuniverse.blogspot.com, temple built in the style typical Vijayanagara architecture, has many beautiful sculptures of gods, goddesses, dancers and musicians, and hundreds of paintings all over the walls, columns and ceilings depicting stories from epic Mahabharata, Ramayana, and the Puranas. This includes a 24 × 14 foot fresco of Veerabhadra, god of fire created by Shiva, on the ceiling, which is the largest painting of every single figure in India. In front of the temple there is a huge statue of Nandi (bull), carved from a single block of stone, and is said to be one of the largest of its kind in the world.
Nandi statue, located nearly a mile before the main temple - the first structure will jumpaii. With a length of 27 feet in length and a height of 15 kakii, this is a colossal structure, reputedly the largest monolith India. In addition to its size holds the record, a perfectly proportioned body, carved ornaments and smooth contours, adds to the grandeur and make it a popular object image among visitors.

On the outside of the temple, there is a giant Ganesha carving - carved on a large piece of rock (boulder). Perpendicular thereof is large circular dragon with three reels and seven heads. Form a canopy that protects Shivalingam black granite. It is estimated by many people, this is the biggest Nagalinga in India.

Veerabhadra temple is famous for the amazing building techniques. Among the 70 stone pillars, one hanging from the ceiling. Basic pillars barely touching the ground, and it is possible to skip the sheets as thin as paper or a piece of cloth from one side to the other. It is said that the pillars are slightly dislodged from its original position when a British engineer tried to move in a failed attempt to uncover the secrets of its carrying capacity.

Veerabhadra temple was built by two brothers Viranna and Virupanna, which is under the duke of Vijayanagar Empire during the reign of King Achutaraya.

Lepakshi village became a significant place in the Indian epic Ramayana. Legend has it that the bird Jatayu, wounded by Alenka king, Ravana, crashed here after bertempuran with king who kidnapped Sita, wife of Rama, king of Ayodhya. When Rama reached the spot, he saw the bird and said lovingly to him, "Le Pakshi" - which means "Arise, birds' in Telegu language.
